Thanks to Greg for such an awesome and informative website.
I started collecting Wacky Packages in early '74, when I was 9 years old, during the run of the 5th series. Similar to the previous post, I was the younger brother that was jealous of my sister that had the elusive 'Sludge Brick Mix' (one that I'd never acquired). Sadly, almost my entire original collection is gone now.
Several years ago, my sister and I were reminiscing and got on the subject of Wacky Packages. I picked up my phone and searched Ebay for 'Sludge Brick Mix' and there it was for $5. That began my odyssey to collect them all. I now have a complete collection from the original 1967 die-cuts through 16th series (yes, including all the exceptionally rare ones). I just recently acquired the 1969 Wacky Ads, which are interesting as they are what the 2nd series later became.
It's amazing how these collectables take you back to your childhood. Now when my sister visits, I put on an early 70's playlist and we sit on my couch and pour through my Wacky Packs collection.
Thanks again Greg!

I have fond memories of collecting Wacky Packages back in 1973 when I was 7 years old. I remember digging up change from the couch and "borrowing" it from my Mom's purse so I could walk to the local store to buy new packs. I thought they were hysterical and proudly showed off my collection to adults who mildly snickered, but never fully understood my obsession. I remember one night I was mad that my 5 year old brother had more stickers than me so I convinced him to stick a bunch of the stickers in his collection on our bedroom wall and all over his face. My Mom and Dad were not happy and of course I said it was totally his idea. Hahaha! I was a mean big sister. I should probably apologize, but it was almost 50 years ago and I am not sure he remembers. (Although he was probably scared for life which would explain a lot of things. LOL!) Thanks for the memories and for maintaining this great site. I am primarily a doll collector now and have been maintaining my own doll reference site since 2001 so I understand all the hard work it takes to maintain a collection and a website. I only sporadically maintain my site now. I applaud your hard work and dedication to keep this information alive for fans! Thanks so much!

I rediscovered wacky packages in 1995 and still collect them. My main focus are the originals to include the die cuts and 1-16, but I also love the Old School series sets and Wacky postcards. My favorite current artist is Dave Gross
