Welcome to the fifth annual Brain Power Awards where we present honors to those who have done the most impressive Wacky Packages research in the previous year. Feel free to visit the open bar.

2004 was a hot year for wacky research, with a flood of new investigators entering the hobby due to the new series, and with a new series available for scrutiny. Indeed some fascinating research was done on the new series. We therefore may be entering a new era of Wacky Pack brain power. There could even be a prodigy child-genius on the horizon.

This year there is only one Brain Power category. In some years there is also a second category for the discovery that has the widest impact on the hobby, but this year there is no second category. One Brain-Power-naut will Brain Power solo this year. The committe was looking for the most impressive, interesting, and surprising research.

Nominations

And the Brain Power goes to ... the Brain Power goes to ... Tim Sullivan for the Mr Coffin P1 Back Variation. The committee was impressed by all nominations, however the task of noticing the subtle variation of the Mr. Coffin variation belies truly impressive brain power. Therefore Sullivan takes the BP in category one this year.

Congratulations to Tim, may you carry your reign with dignity, until you must pass on the crown in 2006.
