Wacky Packages Checklist Terminology
- For some series the checklist is on the back of a nine piece puzzle forming the image of one title in the series. This means there are nine different checklists for those series, depending on the puzzle piece they have on their back. Because some of these are vertical (e.g. 11th) and some horizontal (e.g. 1st), there has been some confusion about how to refer to the individual pieces.
There are two ways that are standard.
- STANDARD
- The first involves numbering.
- The second involves alphabetic labelling by TL, TM, TR, ML, MM, MR, BL, BM, BR (T=top, M=middle, B=bottom, L=left, R=right).
- NON-STANDARD
- Some people prefer to always orient the puzzle vertically and so they would number or label a horizontal puzzle like this or like this. This causes a lot of confusion and we suggest people not do this.
